Bootylicious!

I have been away from civilisation for most of the summer (if you can call it that where I was!) and now I am back, I have been overwhelmed by what is in the shops for this season. Now it may be about 30 degrees outside, which is a welcome change for me, but I would like to draw your attention some really beautiful boots available for the new season. Embroidery and velvet is everywhere, but it is the boots that have really caught my eye.

Ankle boots with midi skirts is the look of the season, but you can wear your embroidered boots also with jeans, of course.

So lets have a look at some of these beautiful embroidered boots...

These first ones are so gorgeous, although they are certainly out of my league. I thought I would show you anyway - there is no harm in window shopping! I love the colours, and the butterflies!!

Valentino, £1165... ouch!

Slightly cheaper are these - Isabel Marant, available from the Outnet.com at £334 (reduced from a hefty £835) but only available in size 4 and smaller. I love colour of these and also they look like they should fit well around the leg. Nothing worse than a baggy boot!

Also available in black.

Or for something more affordable, ASOS have some fun boots

These are Emilia Ankle Jacquard boots at £50. A great price, but a bit louder than the Marant ones.

Or from House of Fraser, these are the Miss Selfridge Athena Floral Embroidered Boot, £85

Now lets move on to look at the velvet options.

First of all, these ultra glam boots from Topshop caught my eye

Valiant pointed toe boots by Unique at Topshop, £195

Or if you prefer something more subtle...

These are also Topshop, Moscow Velvet Wester Boots, £75

Or a bit more sexy with a higher heel, these black velvet boots are from Steve Madden - Stretch Velvet ankle boot, £87. Being stretch, they should be a good fit around the leg.

Burgundy is a new colour for this coming season, so you could combine the two trends together and go for burgundy velvet boots

These look really stunning and the velvet looks so soft compared to the cheaper boots.

Gianvito Rossi, velvet ankle boots, £565, Net a Porter

Also available in blue with a higher heel, and higher price!

Gianvito Rossi, blue velvet ankle boot, £615, Net a Porter

Ah, I think I have found the boots for me... I had better get saving!

These are almost as nice and at a fraction of the price. They seem to be a good fit around the leg too.

Navy Velvet Block Heel Ankle Boot, New Look, £29.99

And finally, I have just come across these. Expensive, but oh, so lovley..

Tabitha Simmon, Micki Nubuck trimmed velvet ankle boot, Net a Porter, £525

Also available in embroidered canvas, £580

and black,

So many fabulous boots to choose from, its hard to decide. One thing I would say though, if you are not blessed with height or if you have short legs, you probably want to avoid statement boots as they may well make you look shorter. Stick with boots that matches the colour of your trousers.

Happy Shopping
