Make 2020 Your Year

Make 2020 the year when you focus on the positives and not the negatives. Let's face it, no one is perfect, and we all have things that we don't like about ourselves; wobbly bits, wrinkles and crinkles, bags and sags, to name but a few.

Now is the time to focus on your good bits, and sometimes all you need is a little help to make the most of what you have. Start with a colour analysis....

A COLOUR ANALYSIS CHANGES EVERYTHING!

Wear the right colours and you will look and feel amazing. Because colour is the most powerful thing that you can change about your image. As part of my colour analysis package, you will receive a personalised wallet containing 42 shades that will make you look younger, healthier and more vibrant. Imagine that! Starting a new year feeling absolutely marvellous. And watch those compliments roll in from your friends and family.

If you had your colours done some time ago, it may be time for a review. You'll know because shades that you loved in the past may look a little bit 'off'. It's definitely time to pick up the phone, let me advise you on the way forward.

DON'T BANISH THOSE WINTER BLUES!

Pantone, the company that provides a universal language of colour, has announced that the colour of 2020 is Classic Blue. It's a safe option after Living Coral of 2019 and Ultra Violet of 2018, but one that is fairly easy to incorporate into your wardrobe. Pantone's Classic Blue sits between colour me beautiful's Royal Blue and True Blue. Not as clear as the the former but slightly deeper than the latter.

It's a real winner for those that can wear it: Deeps, Cools & Clears. And, because of my flexible approach to consulting - it's my job to show Lights how to 'lighten' it, Warms how to 'warm' it up and Softs how to make it less overpowering.

I'm excited. Are you?

FUN AND LAUGHTER

Friends are for life, not just for Christmas! And if ever there was an excuse to get together, then let that be a colour me beautiful party. I guarantee there will lots of fun had by all. Question is, would you choose a make-up, colour or style party?

You bring the friends, I'll bring the knowledge. Deal?

SASSY LIPS

Your lipstick is probably the biggest game changer in your make-up bag. Wearing the right shade can elevate your whole look by several notches. You'll look put together even if you're not! Always start with a primer that will control 'feathering' and help to keep the lipstick in place. Try the colour me beautiful  eye and lip base (a double-use product).

If you wear a lip pencil, colour in the whole of the lips, so you're not left with an ageing line when your lipstick wears off. You can also play around with different colour lip liners; go deeper to add intensity to your lipstick. Or use a pencil two or three shades darker than your lipstick to add fullness at the bow and middle of the bottom lip.

Finally, choose a lipstick shade that compliments your colouring. Here are my favourite shades right now:

Lights: Red Velvet (to cheer up the darkest of days) Deeps: Mahogany (as mysterious and deep as you) Warms: Spiced Peach (a fresh new colour for a new year) Cools: Soft Mauve (with a pinky-purple hue) Clears: Cerise (because you can) Softs: Chiffon (the perfect nude)
