Spring Bouquet

I feel as though we are seeing light at the end of the "winter tunnel". It is no longer dark when I drop my daughter off for early hockey training; it is still light at 4.30pm and the sales are coming to an end in the shops. Thank goodness. It always seems such a long slog, but it really won't be long until March is here!!

So, with this in mind, I thought I would bring to you some ideas for your spring wardrobe, and today I thought 'florals'. Pretty, feminine, florals. Wear them now and add a bit of edge with boots and a leather biker jacket, and also when it gets warmer with sandals.

I think if I was going floral I would do Rixo. This brand is in the press quite a lot at the moment, and for good reason. I love this red dress!

Katie Dress, Rixo, £265

Or Needle and Thread have some very beautiful dresses and tops.

This Dragon Fly Garden Top, £185 is so delicate and pretty

Or this bomber jacket, Lace Foliage bomber, £235 is stunning

Or if you prefer a dress, the Lace Foliage Prom, £350, may take your fancy

Do have a look at Warehouse, as they have a large selection of lovely florals. I like this one, as it quite a good colour for most

Ditsy gathered side midi dress, £38

Or this, SIDNEY FLORAL SKIRT £49.00

I'm not sure about the shoes with either of these pictures. Perhaps better with ankle boots, trainers, or a less heavy court shoe.

And definitely with a leather jacket.

M&S come up trumps with a few things.

This is an easy to wear shirt dress, Floral Print Studded Shirt Dress with Belt £45.00

or this gorgeous skirt - Floral Print Skirt £55.00

It looks rather similar to this from Fendi at £1370. In fact, I prefer the M&S one!!

M&S also have a bomber jacket in the same fabric. Not sure I would wear the two together though!

Floral Print Bomber Jacket, £69

Zara, has this top - well actually it is a body, and its perfect for wearing with a skirt. The print is beautiful, and at £29.99, its pretty good value.

I love the pink skirt, but "pink" is for another blog!

Or this printed top at £25.99 is also rather nice.

Maybe you fancy a floral jumpsuit. This one from Whistles is fabulous, but probably best if you are a Deep or a Clear

Mia Frill Floris Jumpsuit, £249

Or from Massimo Dutti, this pretty silk blouse. Silk Flower Print Shirt, £54.95

I love the look of the top picture with the floral pencil skirt, so here are few to think about.

Dorothy Perkins, Pink Floral Scuba Pencil Skirt, £24

Or from J Crew, PENCIL SKIRT IN RATTI® STRIPED FLORAL, £108

I love this skirt, the colours are amazing.

Or, if you want to blow the budget...

From Valentino at £1195

I think not!

So why not add some colour and flowers into your wardrobe and smell the roses! If you don't want your florals to look too pretty (I don't really do pretty!), then wear skirts with a casual sweater, even a sweat shirt, and team with trainers. Or just wear your floral blouse with your jeans.

Give it a go!

I hope you all have a good week and if half term is coming up for you, then happy holidays!

Jo
